Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of students’ self-confidence and students' activity on mathematics learning achievement. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were all the students of  XII grades in SMK Kristen Oinlasi in the academic year 2022/2023. While the sample in this study is there are two classes of XII grades students with a total of 54 students who are taken by using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used is a questionnaire for measuring students’ self-confidence and activeness, while mathematics learning achievement is taken from daily rate. Technical analysis of data using multiple linear regression tests. The result showed that the linear regression equation . Partial self-confidence does not affect students mathematics learning achievement, because the . While students’ activity showed a significant effect on mathematics learning achievement which is shown that . Simultaneously the  so  is rejected and  is accepted, so it can be concluded together that self –confidence and students’ activity have a significant effect on Mathematics learning achievement in XII grades of students of SMK Kristen Oinlasi. The magnitude of the influence of self-confidence and student activity on student achievement in mathematics by 11.4% while the rest is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.
